A custom website design project for Newmarket-on-Fergus Community in Co Clare, which involved a new full website design. The client’s new website was designed with Bespoke Configuration of News and Events custom pages and a facility to accept donations as the primary functionality requirements. A directory of local businesses was also a requirement but is to be added at a later date.
The community organisation uses the website to post news, details on upcoming events and local areas of interest for visitors. The website is integrated with their social media, Facebook and Instagram so posts automatically post on their Social Wall on the website.
About Newmarket on Fergus Community
NewmarketonFergus.com – Newmarket-on-Fergus Community Forum is a group of volunteers who came together in January 2020, following a series of public meetings. The Forum has representatives from Community, Education and Sporting organisations, local business as well as individual community members.

Prior to project commencing, we discussed with the client about what kind of style of website they desired and their requirements and the functionality they wanted. From this we produced a sample custom design to let the client see the layout prior to proceeding to development.
The major functionality needs for the new client website were Bespoke Configuration of News and Events bespoke pages and a capability to accept donations. A local business directory was also necessary, although it will be added later.
The community organization uses the website to share information about recent events, forthcoming activities, and tourist attractions in the area. Facebook and Instagram are integrated with the website, so new content automatically appears on their Social Wall.
Online training was provided to ensure that representatives and teachers of were comfortable in editing and updating the website going forward. The training session was recorded and sent on to the participants so they had a reference to look back on if needed in future.
